Circular TwAIn at the #ManuDays2024
Following the success of last year’s Manufacturing Partnership Day, the event has returned with a second edition, and we were thrilled to be part of it!
Circular TwAIn travelled to Brussels on May 7-8 to attend the key event for the manufacturing community organised by EFFRA—European Factories of the Future Research Association. Once again, EFFRA created an outstanding platform to showcase the Made in Europe and Factories of the Future projects, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about being actively involved in it.
During the #ManuDays2024, our project coordinator, Angelo Marguglio from the Engineering Group, delivered an inspiring presentation on integrating Data Spaces, Digital Twins, and Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable and Circular Manufacturing. The presentation showcased the project's latest achievements, especially the development of a manufacturing data space for the battery pilot. Some fruitful discussions were conducted after the presentation to further detail the role of the Digital Twin (and the particular case of the Human Digital Twin) in our project, primarily focusing on EOL strategies for batteries. In a joint session featuring our sister projects, AIDEAS and s-X-AIPI, this session tackled key topics like manufacturing innovation, circularity, and sustainability.
In the exhibition area, Angelo Marguglio was joined by Davide Dalle Carbonare from Engineering Group, Sergio Gusmeroli and Gabriella Monteleone from Politecnico di Milano, and Luis Usatorre from TECNALIA Research & Innovation. Together, they represented Circular TwAIn, engaging in lively discussions on the latest advancements and innovations in manufacturing and Circular TwAIn itself.
We are happy to have had this opportunity to share our accomplishments with this esteemed community of experts and demonstrate Circular TwAIn’s contributions to the vision of sustainable, eco-friendly, and circular production.
